1. Our Commitment

The Dayton Municipal Court is committed to ensuring that its website is accessible to all members of the public, including individuals with disabilities. We strive to meet the standards established by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title II, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

• Color contrast ratios meet WCAG 2.1 AA minimums (4.5:1 for normal text)
• All interactive elements are keyboard accessible with visible focus indicators
• ARIA labels and roles applied to accordions, menus, and form fields
• Form inputs have associated labels and descriptive error messages
• External links are identified as opening in a new tab
• Site is responsive and functional on mobile devices and assistive technologies
• Google Translate widget available for non-English speakers
• Linked PDF documents have been reviewed and remediated for accessibility using Adobe Acrobat's accessibility tools
• Reduced motion support via prefers-reduced-motion media query
• High contrast mode support via forced-colors media query

4. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, you may encounter some accessibility barriers. Known limitations include:

• PDF documents linked from this site have been remediated for accessibility. If you encounter a PDF that is not accessible, please contact us and we will provide an alternative format.
• The Google Translate widget is a third-party service and may not be fully accessible in all configurations. Contact the Court for translation assistance.
• The embedded Google Maps frame may have limited keyboard and screen reader support. The court's address and a text directions link are provided as alternatives.
